About EtonHouse

關(guān)于伊頓

The group headquartered in Singapore with more than 120 international schools in 10 countries, including 10 International Baccalaureate (IB) schools. Now there are over 50 EtonHouse Pre-Schools and 3 International Schools in China since EtonHouse expanded to Suzhou, China in 2003.

EtonHouse was inspired by Ng E-Ching, daughter of Mrs. Ng Gim Choo, Founder of EtonHouse. The philosophy of inquiry based learning has resonated with parents for decades with several generations of successful graduates across the global.

Mr. Otley is enjoying his sixth year at EtonHouse International School Foshan. This is his second year as Principal of the Lower School, having served as Deputy for three years. Mr. Otley has a wealth of experience, having worked in international education for over eleven years. Mr. Otley grew up in an education - orientatedenvironment where his parents and brother are all teachers. In addition to his degree in Literary Studies, Mr. Otley also holds a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education). Mr. Otley is a strong advocate for inquiry-based learning, and strives to foster a love of learning in all of the students at FEIS. Mr. Otley" s identical twin sons attend our school, and as Mr. Otley notes: “They are the personification of the lyrics to our School Song - ‘Different but the Same" ; though identical in appearance, they of course each have their own personalities, interests, and learning styles. This applies to each and every child in our school; we teach the individual child, not the class as a whole.”

Mrs Sophie Wang is enjoying her sixth year at EtonHouse International School Foshan. One of the founding members of the Upper School, this is her second year serving as the Principal. Mrs. Wang"s own educational background reflects her enthusiasm for education, with her undergraduate Degree and her MA in the field of International Education. Mrs Wang believes that international education not only brings children knowledge and vision, but also cultivates their abilities in learning, leadership, caring and well-being.

今年是Mrs Sophie Wang在佛山伊頓國(guó)際學(xué)校工作的第六年，她是中學(xué)部的創(chuàng)始成員，這是她擔(dān)任中學(xué)部校長(zhǎng)的第二年。Mrs Wang的教育背景從另一個(gè)方面展示了她對(duì)于教育的熱情和投入, 她擁有教育領(lǐng)域的學(xué)士學(xué)位和碩士學(xué)位，并一直從事國(guó)際教育工作，至今已超過(guò)十余年。Mrs Wang相信國(guó)際教育給孩子帶來(lái)的不僅是知識(shí)和視野，還有對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)力、領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力、關(guān)愛(ài)力、幸福力的培養(yǎng)。

Our Environment

State-of-the-art facilities include 62 classrooms, a swimming pool, wonderful libraries, an indoor gym and basketball court, outdoor track and soccer field, science laboratories, dance studio, music room and specialist arts studios. The environment is carefully and specially designed to facilitate the holistic development of children and inculcate a love for lifelong learning.

EtonHouse provides quality international education aimed at cultivating students" critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The research-based inquiry programme is richly stimulating and designed to develop students academically, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.

In our Lower School, we use the IB PYP framework which dovetails with the British National Curriculum Standards. In the Upper School the British National Curriculum KS3 leads on to students taking IGCSE"S and A Levels. The School is not only an IB World School, but a Cambridge Assessment Accredited school.
