Every month, Sias IS focuses on one of the ten IB learner profiles, offering examples for how to demonstrate that attribute. However, how can we be certain that our students are demonstrating these qualities consistently over time? That is the question that the G3 students sought to answer. Their solution – to create a criteria list that can be checked off every time a specific behavior is demonstrated.

Over the past few weeks, G3 students have been actively and consistently working towards demonstrating expected behaviors for each of the learner profiles. As evidence is submitted or collected, students received a checkmark on their criteria lists, otherwise known as their “Badge Booklet.” Once a list reaches five full rows of checkmarks, the students will earn a badge that displays the respective learner profile.

在過去的幾周里，G3學(xué)生一直在積極并持續(xù)努力地展示他們的學(xué)習(xí)者品質(zhì)目標(biāo)，在提交或收集證據(jù)時(shí)，每完成一項(xiàng)，他們的“徽章小冊(cè)子”標(biāo)準(zhǔn)清單上會(huì)用對(duì)號(hào)勾選進(jìn)行標(biāo)記。一旦該列表完成五行，學(xué)生將會(huì)獲得一個(gè)徽章，顯示其對(duì)應(yīng)的學(xué)習(xí)者品質(zhì)。

Since this badge initiative was put in place, students have begun using the learner profile language more often in their everyday speech. Additionally, the badge system fosters a sense of community and encourages students to strive for excellence in their academic and personal lives, promoting the IB’s mission to create well-rounded and globally minded individuals. What more could you ask for?

自從徽章計(jì)劃實(shí)施以來，學(xué)生們?cè)谌粘Ｉ顚?duì)話中更多地使用關(guān)于學(xué)習(xí)者品質(zhì)的語(yǔ)言。此外，徽章系統(tǒng)培養(yǎng)了一種集體意識(shí)，鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生在學(xué)術(shù)和個(gè)人生活中追求卓越，促進(jìn)了IB培養(yǎng)全面發(fā)展和具有全球視野的個(gè)人使命，還有什么能比這個(gè)更好呢？
