2021-2022申請季，共有22795人申請劍橋大學本科，比2020-2021申請季上升11.6%。共發出4260份offer，offer率為18.6%，比2020-2021申請季降低了9.6%。最終錄取了3660人，比2020-2021學年下降了8.4%。

在2020-2021申請季，計申請的中國學生人數為2656（內地2008，香港地區648），收到了381枚（內地282，香港地區99）預錄取Offer。2021-2022申請季中國內地申請人數，和錄取人數都增加了，但是錄取率(10.8%）比去年（15.5%）降低了，這也就意味著中國申請者之間的競爭是越來越激烈。
