Established in 1965 in Hong Kong, Victoria Education is renowned for its academic excellence, and diverse individual quality training of young people. In 1998, Dr. Maggie Koong brought Victoria (China) Education Group to mainland China. Now, it has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in the two places.
Founded in 2022, Victoria Park Academy (VPA) is rooted in the national curriculum, draws on the IB teaching methods, integrating the essence of the two, and continues Victoria"s more than 50 years of immersion bilingual teaching experience of "one teacher, one language." We implement the "Chinese and English double homeroom teacher system" teaching, forming a unique curriculum and culture.

入學(xué)評估及面試
錄取參考因素
? 中文及英文溝通技巧（1 至 2 年級申請者必須能流利使用其中一種語言（中文或英文），以建立雙語基礎(chǔ)。）
? 2 至 8年級申請者的語文（中文及英文的閱讀和寫作技巧）及數(shù)學(xué)都將作為錄取參考因素
? 其他，如批判性思考及邏輯思維等，以檢視申請者能否積極參與我們的學(xué)習(xí)社群
? 曾就讀學(xué)校的參考，如維多利亞幼稚園問卷調(diào)查、學(xué)校成績表及學(xué)校推薦信
面談之后，學(xué)校將作出是否錄取的決定，錄取決定將在面談結(jié)束后的3-5天內(nèi)做出，家長會通過郵件收到錄取通知書。

VPA accept local students andstudents from different cultural backgrounds,regardless of nationality.

Interview
Factors of consideration for admissions:
? Communication skills in Chinese and English (For Y1-2 applicants, students must demonstrate strength in at least one language (Chinese or English), necessary to build our bilingual foundation.)
? For Y2-Y8 applications, entrance assessment results of languages (reading and literacy skills in both Chinese and English) and Mathematics
? Others such as critical thinking, logical response, etc. to see if applicants have the right profile to be active partners in learning who will positively contribute to our learning community
? Reference from previous school, such as Victoria kindergarten survey form, school reports, school reference letter
After the interview, our school will make an admission decision within 3-5 days.

課程框架
VPA的課程在基礎(chǔ)型課程的框架下，結(jié)合了探究型課程和拓展型課程。
我們嚴(yán)格按照國家課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和深圳市年度課程計劃完成教學(xué)內(nèi)容。與此同時，借鑒IB教學(xué)的過程和方法，融合二者教育精髓，以項目學(xué)習(xí)為主，結(jié)合學(xué)校及區(qū)域特色，利用校內(nèi)外等多方資源，充分挖掘?qū)W生自主能動性，強調(diào)以解決現(xiàn)實為題為入口，打破學(xué)科之間，校園和社會之間的界限，通過主題式跨學(xué)科探究，開展深度學(xué)習(xí)。再根據(jù)實際情況及學(xué)生需求，以限定性拓展和非限定性拓展兩種形式，分別開設(shè)人文科技學(xué)術(shù)課程，健康生活素養(yǎng)，校園社團活動、體育活動、社區(qū)實踐和服務(wù)課程、中國傳統(tǒng)文化、正念教育等多項課程。
語言學(xué)習(xí)
優(yōu)質(zhì)的語言學(xué)習(xí)是我校的特色之一。我們采用“一師一語言”雙班主任制沉浸式雙語教學(xué)，結(jié)合來自哥倫比亞大學(xué)的讀寫計劃，有效培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自主閱讀及寫作的能力。

Course Overview
Curriculum Framework
Our courses are a combination of inquiry-based courses and extended courses within the framework of foundational courses.
We strictly follow the national curriculum standards and Shenzhen annual curriculum plan to complete the teaching content.At the same time, we focus on project-based learning, combine school and regional characteristics, and use multiple resources inside and outside the school, fully tap students "independent initiative, emphasize solving real-life problems, break the boundaries between disciplines, campus and society, and carry out deep learning through interdisciplinary inquiry.According to students" needs, a number of courses such as humanities, health and wellness, club activities, sports, mindfulness education are set up in two forms: limited or non-limited expansion.
Literacy
Quality literacy and language learning is one of the key features at VPA.We adopt the immersion bilingual teaching system of "one teacher, one language", combined with the literacy program from Columbia University, to effectively cultivate students" ability to read and write independently.
We also encourage students to draw their own story books. By doing so, students can not only practice their language and drawing ability, but also boost their confidence.
We also have EAL lessons for students who need extra support, the lessons include one-on-one lessons and group lessons for students with different needs.

校園環(huán)境及配套服務(wù)
背靠大南山，出門即是荔林公園，VPA因此享有“山水校園”之名。
我們的戶外場地占地2萬多平方米，建有足球場、籃球場，以及網(wǎng)球場。
校內(nèi)除了基礎(chǔ)教室還設(shè)有一間黑匣子劇場，可容納百余人，還有一間獨具設(shè)計感的DEAR（Drop Everything and Read）圖書館，讓孩子們可以享受閱讀，以及精美的咖啡廳，供全校教職員工在課余時間使用。

Environment
In front of the Da Nan Shan and next to the Lilin Park, VPA has the name of "school of mountains and waters."
Our outdoor field covers more than 20,000 square meters with football, basketball and tennis courts.
In addition to the basic classrooms, our school also has a black box theater, which can accommodate more than 100 people, a unique design of the DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) library for students to enjoy reading, and an exquisite cafe for people to use in their spare time.

Multiple Pathways
VPA has already prepared multiple pathways for students with different needs.
Primary to Middle:
All students from our VPA primary school can go straight up to middle school after meeting the basic requirements
Middle to High:
graduates from our middle school will be given priority in admission to VSA;
or they can attend other high schools with IBDP, A-Level, AP, DSE, etc;
we are also planning to have our high school in the future.
Universities attended by our graduates：
University of Cambridge,University of Oxford,Imperial College London, UCL, LSE, Stanford University, University of Chicago, Duke University, Boston University, NYU, UCBerkeley, USC, NWU, etc.
