SPRING
+ + + +
Welcome to ELE2 or as we are known as, the ‘Bumblebees’, a class of 4-5 year old who are learning and growing together. In our class, we believe in providing a warm and friendly environment that fosters growth, learning, and development. We focus on helping students learn how to share, work together, feel confident in themselves and their thoughts, and how to share their opinions, likes and dislikes.
As we move into the spring unit, we are excited to learn about the life cycle of silk worms. We will observe and discuss the different stages of their growth, from the egg to the larva, pupa, and finally, the adult silk moth. Our students will have the opportunity to witness the transformation of the silk worm and learn about the different jobs associated with it.
In addition to studying silk worms, we are also observing and discussing our ant colony. We will learn about the ant colony"s growth, struggles, and the different jobs associated with it. By doing so, our students will develop an understanding of the different roles that exist in a community and the importance of working together towards a common goal.
We are also excited to start working towards growing a garden in our class. Through this activity, we hope to teach our students about the life cycle of plants and the relationship between the sun, water, and soil for successful plant growth. Our students will learn about the different needs of plants and the importance of taking care of them.
In the Bumblebee class, we believe in helping our students identify and talk about their emotions. We want to equip our students with the tools to handle their emotions successfully. We encourage our students to express their feelings, and we work with them to find ways to cope with difficult emotions.
Moreover, we understand that each child is unique, and we strive to create an inclusive environment where all children feel comfortable expressing themselves. We emphasize the importance of respecting each other"s differences, including our likes and dislikes. We encourage our students to share their opinions and listen to their classmates with an open mind.
In conclusion, ELE2 or the ‘Bumblebee’ class is a place where 4-5 year old students are learning and growing together. We believe in providing a warm and friendly environment that fosters growth, learning, and development. We are excited to learn about the life cycle of silk worms, observe and discuss our ant colony, and grow a garden. We aim to help our students identify and talk about their emotions, respect each other"s differences, and work together towards a common goal. We hope to create an environment that promotes inclusivity, creativity, and imagination.
