課程框架

我們的課程在基礎(chǔ)型課程的框架下，結(jié)合了探究型課程和拓展型課程。

我們嚴格按照國家課程標準和深圳市年度課程計劃完成教學內(nèi)容。與此同時，我們以項目學習為主，結(jié)合學校及區(qū)域特色，利用校內(nèi)外等多方資源，充分挖掘?qū)W生自主能動性，強調(diào)以解決現(xiàn)實為題為入口，打破學科之間，校園和社會之間的界限，通過主題式跨學科探究，開展深度學習。再根據(jù)實際情況及學生需求，以限定性拓展和非限定性拓展兩種形式，分別開設(shè)人文科技學術(shù)課程，健康生活素養(yǎng)，校園社團活動、體育活動、社區(qū)實踐和服務(wù)課程、中國傳統(tǒng)文化、正念教育等多項課程。

語言學習

優(yōu)質(zhì)的語言學習是我校的特色之一。我們采用“一師一語言”雙班主任制沉浸式雙語教學，結(jié)合來自哥倫比亞大學的讀寫計劃，有效培養(yǎng)學生自主閱讀及寫作的能力。

我們還鼓勵學生創(chuàng)作繪本，創(chuàng)作繪本不光練習了語言和繪畫的運用，還增加了學生的自信心和自豪感。

我們還為有需要的學生設(shè)立了EAL課程，包含了小組課以及一對一單獨授課，為不同程度的學生們提供額外的支持。

Course Overview

Curriculum Framework

Our courses are a combination of inquiry-based courses and extended courses within the framework of foundational courses.

We strictly follow the national curriculum standards and Shenzhen annual curriculum plan to complete the teaching content.At the same time, we focus on project-based learning, combine school and regional characteristics, and use multiple resources inside and outside the school, fully tap students "independent initiative, emphasize solving real-life problems, break the boundaries between disciplines, campus and society, and carry out deep learning through interdisciplinary inquiry.According to students" needs, a number of courses such as humanities, health and wellness, club activities, sports, mindfulness education are set up in two forms: limited or non-limited expansion.

Literacy

Quality literacy and language learning is one of the key features at VPA.We adopt the immersion bilingual teaching system of "one teacher, one language", combined with the literacy program from Columbia University, to effectively cultivate students" ability to read and write independently.

We also encourage students to draw their own story books. By doing so, students can not only practice their language and drawing ability, but also boost their confidence.

We also have EAL lessons for students who need extra support, the lessons include one-on-one lessons and group lessons for students with different needs.

校園環(huán)境及配套服務(wù)

背靠大南山，出門即是荔林公園，VPA因此享有“山水校園”之名。

我們的戶外場地占地2萬多平方米，建有足球場、籃球場，以及網(wǎng)球場。

校內(nèi)除了基礎(chǔ)教室還設(shè)有一間黑匣子劇場，可容納百余人，還有一間獨具設(shè)計感的DEAR（Drop Everything and Read）圖書館，讓孩子們可以享受閱讀，以及精美的咖啡廳，供全校教職員工在課余時間使用。

Environment

In front of the Da Nan Shan and next to the Lilin Park, VPA has the name of "school of mountains and waters."

Our outdoor field covers more than 20,000 square meters with football, basketball and tennis courts.

In addition to the basic classrooms, our school also has a black box theater, which can accommodate more than 100 people, a unique design of the DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) library for students to enjoy reading, and an exquisite cafe for people to use in their spare time.

初中畢業(yè)后學生以扎實的學業(yè)根基和熟練的雙語應(yīng)用，可以在國內(nèi)外頂尖的IBDP， A-Level，AP，DSE等高中項目課程中快速適應(yīng)和融入

維多利亞(中國)教育集團擬在深圳開辦高中部，VPA初中畢業(yè)生在達到要求以后可直升VPA高中部

維校畢業(yè)生去向包括：

Multiple Pathways

VPA has already prepared multiple pathways for students with different needs.

小升初:

All students from our VPA elementary can go straight up to middle school after meeting the basic requirements

初升高:

graduates from our middle school will be given priority in admission to VSA;

or they can attend other high schools with IBDP, A-Level, AP, DSE, etc;

we are also planning to have our high school in the future.

維校畢業(yè)生去向包括：

University of Cambridge,University of Oxford,Imperial College London, UCL, LSE, Stanford University, University of Chicago, Duke University, Boston University, NYU, UCBerkeley, USC, NWU, etc.
