GIS adopts a flexible admissions policy. Entrance assessments will be held regularly from March to July and admissions letters will be issued after each assessment until all the available seats are taken. We strongly suggest that you register and apply for the assessment as early as possible. Further notice will be given on subsequent assessment arrangements.

Covering an area of around 54 acres, it is the largest primary and secondary school campus among the 8 major old districts of Guangzhou. There are complete living and learning facilities, including campus clinic, gymnasium, swimming pool, volleyball court and so on.

Curriculum

學(xué)校小學(xué)、初中階段以國(guó)家課程為基礎(chǔ)，以融合課程為主體，強(qiáng)化語(yǔ)言教育、STEAM教育，提升學(xué)生綜合素質(zhì)和國(guó)際人才素養(yǎng)。高中階段開(kāi)設(shè)HKDSE（香港高考）與IBDP（國(guó)際高中文憑）課程，注重學(xué)生全面可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

The curricula of the Primary and the Middle School of GIS are based on the Chinese National Curriculum, with an integrated curriculum strengthening language education and STEAM education to enhance students’ overall quality as an international talent. The curriculum at the High School level is mainly based on the advanced theories and methods of teaching and learning of the International Curriculum, including HKDSE, and IBDP, focusing on students" all-round and sustainable development.

小學(xué)部：

小學(xué)部課程設(shè)置借用國(guó)際文憑小學(xué)課程IBPYP的理念，整合國(guó)家基礎(chǔ)課程、校本課程和國(guó)際課程。

Primary School

Borrowing the concept of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IBPYP), the Primary School curriculum aims at integrating the Chinese National Curriculum, the School-based curriculum, and the International Curriculum.

The curriculum of the Primary School includes three kinds of courses: compulsory language courses (Chinese and English) and optional second foreign language courses (French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, etc., depending on learning needs), subject courses (Mathematics, Science, Music, Art, Ethics and Rule of Law, Calligraphy, Mental health, Physical Education, etc.), and co-curriculum programs (including four main categories: creativity, sports, art, and service classes).

初中部：

初中課程融合國(guó)家課程的核心內(nèi)容、國(guó)際文憑中學(xué)課程 IBMYP和英聯(lián)邦I(lǐng)GCSE的課程元素，采用模塊化的教學(xué)方法。

初中部開(kāi)設(shè)的課程包括六大學(xué)科組必修課（語(yǔ)言學(xué)科、數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)、個(gè)體與社會(huì)、藝術(shù)、體育與健康教育）、三大類選修課（基礎(chǔ)類、拓展類、興趣類）和四大類活動(dòng)課（創(chuàng)意類、運(yùn)動(dòng)類、藝術(shù)類、服務(wù)類）。

Middle School

The curriculum of the Middle School is based on the core content of the Chinese National Curriculum and incorporates elements of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP) and the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), adopting a modular approach.

The curriculum of the Middle School comprises six compulsory subject groups (Language Acquisition, Mathematics, Sciences, Individuals and Societies, Arts, Physical and Health Education), three categories of optional courses (foundation, extension, and interests), and four co-curriculum programs (creativity, sports, art, and service classes)

高中部：

2023年秋季，我校高中部將開(kāi)設(shè)HKDSE課程和IBDP預(yù)備課程

DSE考試，全稱香港中學(xué)文憑考試（Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education)，也稱中國(guó)香港高考。

HKDSE是目前全球唯一可用中文作答的國(guó)際考試，目前內(nèi)地有132所高校（含985、211）都接受DSE成績(jī)，認(rèn)可度會(huì)高于港澳臺(tái)聯(lián)考，比如清華大學(xué)就不招收聯(lián)考學(xué)生。同時(shí)，境外承認(rèn)DSE考試成績(jī)的大學(xué)已上升到200多所，其中包括世界一流名校等。DSE成績(jī)既可用來(lái)無(wú)縫鏈接中國(guó)香港地區(qū)的大學(xué)，又可申請(qǐng)海外名校，還可以實(shí)現(xiàn)內(nèi)地985/211升學(xué)。全球越來(lái)越多的大學(xué)接受DSE的成績(jī)申請(qǐng)。種種優(yōu)勢(shì)，讓DSE熱度大漲，被眾多內(nèi)地家長(zhǎng)稱為“黃金高考”！

2024年起內(nèi)地學(xué)生不用赴港，可在內(nèi)地考點(diǎn)考試。據(jù)2022年6月香港考評(píng)局發(fā)布的消息：2024年起開(kāi)放內(nèi)地學(xué)校參加文憑試，內(nèi)地生考試可以不用去香港了！

IBDP預(yù)備課程

IBDP課程由國(guó)際文憑組織（IBO）開(kāi)設(shè)，課程受全球所有主流大學(xué)廣泛認(rèn)可，持有IBDP畢業(yè)證書(shū)的學(xué)生可直接申請(qǐng)入讀120多個(gè)國(guó)家5000多所大學(xué)。數(shù)據(jù)顯示，DP畢業(yè)生就讀世界排名前20的高等教育機(jī)構(gòu)機(jī)會(huì)更高。進(jìn)入大學(xué)后，學(xué)生憑優(yōu)秀的DP成績(jī)可直接獲得相關(guān)科目的大學(xué)學(xué)分，免修同類課程。

High School

In the fall of 2023, HKDSE and IBDP Preparatory Courses will be offered.

Launched in 2012, DSE, with the full name of Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, is also known as Hong Kong College Entrance Examination.The HKDSE is currently the only international exam in the world that can be taken in Chinese. At present, 132 universities in the Chinese Mainland(including Project 985 and Project 211 universities) accept the DSE results, the recognition of which is much wider than those of the Joint Exam for Students in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Tsinghua University, for example, does not enroll students of the Joint Exam. Additionally, the number of universities outside Hong Kong that accept Hong Kong DSE results has increased to over 200, including a large number of world prestigious universities. The DSE exam results can be used to apply to either Hong Kong and overseas prestigious universities or Project 985 and Project 211 universities in the Chinese Mainland. As more and more universities around the world are accepting DSE scores for application, DSE has become so popular that many parents in the Chinese Mainland call it "Golden College Entrance Examination".

According to the news released by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority in June 2022, schools in Chinese mainland will be allowed to take the diploma examination in 2024, and mainland students will not have to go to Hong Kong to take the diploma examination.

Set by IBO, IBDP is widely recognized by the majority of top universities in the world. Students with IBDP results can apply directly to more than 5000 universities in over 120 countries.Statistics show that DP graduates have a higher chance of enrolling in the world"s top 20 higher education institutions.Upon entering university, IBDP graduates with excellent DP results of some subjects can directly obtain university credits and are exempt from taking similar subjects.

圖書(shū)館 Library

圖書(shū)館共8層，藏書(shū)13萬(wàn)冊(cè)，每年還會(huì)購(gòu)入1.5萬(wàn)冊(cè)新書(shū)籍。

The eight-story library houses 130,000 volumes of books and buys 15,000 new books every year.

住宿 Accommodation

學(xué)生可選擇寄宿與走讀，宿舍為3~4人/間，每間宿舍包含沖涼房和洗手間，配有獨(dú)立陽(yáng)臺(tái)、書(shū)桌、衣柜和鞋架等。同時(shí)，生活區(qū)配置有洗衣房。

The school accepts both boarding and day students. Each dormitory can accommodate 3 to 4 students, equipped with a shower room and bathroom, as well as a separate balcony, desk, wardrobe, and shoe rack. There are laundry rooms in the dorm area.

伙食 Food

學(xué)校特地聘請(qǐng)營(yíng)養(yǎng)師為同學(xué)們精心搭配一日三餐（早餐、午餐、晚餐）兩點(diǎn)（課間餐和宵夜）。每日膳食包括各種肉類、蔬菜水果、蛋奶等食物，保證孩子的營(yíng)養(yǎng)均衡。食堂每餐都有十幾種菜品供學(xué)生自由選擇，一周共計(jì)近百個(gè)菜式。菜單每周通過(guò)線上及線下的方式同步公布，確保公開(kāi)透明。

The school employs nutritionists to provide students with three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and two snacks (morning snack and night snack). Daily meals include a variety of meat, vegetables, fruits, eggs, milk and other food to ensure a balanced diet for children. There are more than a dozen dishes for students to choose from at each meal in the canteen, totaling nearly 100 dishes a week. The menu is published online and offline every week to ensure openness and transparency.

校車 School Bus

學(xué)校配備四十多條校車路線，覆蓋?州市各區(qū)主要站點(diǎn)及周邊衛(wèi)星城市，如：佛山、東莞、中山、肇慶、江門、云浮等。學(xué)校統(tǒng)?管理校車運(yùn)營(yíng)，每趟校車均有?師陪同，同時(shí)家長(zhǎng)每周都會(huì)提前獲取接送時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)等詳細(xì)信息。

The school is equipped with more than 40 school bus routes, covering the main stations in all districts of Guangzhou and the surrounding satellite cities, such as Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Zhaoqing, Jiangmen, Yunfu, etc. School bus operations are managed by the school and each bus trip is accompanied by a teacher, while parents are provided with detailed information on pick-up and drop-off times and locations in advance each week.
