Children are natural-bornhelpers.When charity and giving areincorporated into the curriculum and school life, students feel a sense of responsibility to support and involve themselves.

孩子天生愛(ài)助人，當(dāng)慈善活動(dòng)和奉獻(xiàn)精神被納入學(xué)校課程和學(xué)生活動(dòng)時(shí)，學(xué)生們感到了自己身上的責(zé)任，會(huì)大力支持、積極參與。

As part of Grades 7 and 8’s exploration of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, they were moved to ask teachers how they could help children who struggle to have their basic rights met.

在探索聯(lián)合國(guó)《兒童權(quán)利公約》時(shí)，我校七年級(jí)和八年級(jí)的同學(xué)們非常觸動(dòng)，開始詢問(wèn)老師并開始思考他們應(yīng)該如何幫助那些正掙扎在貧困線邊緣的兒童們。

So they decided to start a fundraiser to purchase basic goodsforchildren who come from families suffering hardshipsdue to over-stretchedfamily budgetsor because of physical disabilities.

同學(xué)們決定發(fā)起一場(chǎng)籌款活動(dòng)，籌得款項(xiàng)將全部用于為家庭困難的孩子購(gòu)買生活用品。他們或由于父母為殘障人士，沒(méi)有足夠的經(jīng)濟(jì)來(lái)源支撐家庭基本生活，或由于家庭成員眾多，父母承擔(dān)著巨大的贍養(yǎng)老人和撫育兒童的重?fù)?dān)，以至于無(wú)法為孩子提供必要的生活用品。

CISK contactedtwelve families with children ranging in age from 6-17. We learned about their situations, their hobbies, and their clothing sizes and then we started planning.

CISK聯(lián)系了12個(gè)需要幫助的家庭，在這些家庭中，孩子的年齡在6-17歲之間。在了解了他們的情況、愛(ài)好和衣服尺寸后，我們開始計(jì)劃如何幫助他們。

From November 28th toDecember 15th, 2022, our Grades 7 and 8 studentsheld fundraisers during recess for one day per group. While fostering a spirit of love and altruism, the students learned interesting things about starting their own businesses when deciding what to sell and why, concepts such as “supply and demand”, “markup”, “profit margin” and “overstock”. They had to figure out how to have students and teachers pay and how to advertise their sales so theirproducts would sell out.

2022年11月28日到12月15日期間，7年級(jí)和8年級(jí)的學(xué)生在課間休息時(shí)組織義賣活動(dòng)來(lái)進(jìn)行籌款，在培養(yǎng)愛(ài)心及利他精神的同時(shí)，學(xué)生們學(xué)到了關(guān)于創(chuàng)業(yè)的有趣知識(shí)，比如“供求關(guān)系”、“加價(jià)”、“利潤(rùn)率”和“庫(kù)存過(guò)剩”等概念。學(xué)生們必須知道如何讓學(xué)生和老師們?cè)敢馓脱约叭绾螢樗麄兊匿N售做廣告，以便銷售完所有產(chǎn)品。

After nearly one month of their combinedefforts and activities, our project has managed to raisea total ofRMB7650.40 . On January 17th 2023,the 7th and 8th-grade students were pleased to deliverthe clothes, toys, and basic necessities purchased for the families to the Charity School. 經(jīng)過(guò)近一個(gè)月的努力，我們的募捐項(xiàng)目最終籌得了7650.40元。學(xué)生們用這些善款為需要幫助的孩子們及其家庭精心挑選并購(gòu)買了適合他們的衣物、玩具和生活用品。2023年1月17日，七、八年級(jí)的學(xué)生們把為這些家庭選購(gòu)的物資交給了愛(ài)心學(xué)校。若有任何家長(zhǎng)或公司愿意進(jìn)行更進(jìn)一步的捐贈(zèng)，請(qǐng)致電，感謝您的愛(ài)心。

Philanthropic activities build ourempathy and enhance interpersonal communication and understanding, which is an emotional capacity we need as members of society.At the same time, these activities are crucial to developinga sense of citizenship – in terms of individual engagement, participation in collective school activities, and generatingabroader sense of social responsibility. 慈善活動(dòng)可以建立我們的同理心，加強(qiáng)人與人之間的溝通與理解，這是我們身為社會(huì)中一員所需要的一種情感能力。同時(shí)，慈善活動(dòng)也對(duì)培養(yǎng)公民意識(shí)至關(guān)重要--在這樣的個(gè)人與集體活動(dòng)中能產(chǎn)生更強(qiáng)的社會(huì)責(zé)任感。
