足球友誼賽

On November 2, students from CISK participated in a football match against EtonHouse International School Suzhou (EHSZ) at EtonHouse with Coach Regis and Mr. Asheley.They learned a lot through this experience, and believed that they could do better next time! That is the charm of sports!

11月2日，CISK的學(xué)生在Regis教練和Ashley老師的帶領(lǐng)下，參加了在蘇州伊頓國(guó)際學(xué)校舉辦的足球比賽。同學(xué)們?cè)谶@樣的賽事中獲益良多，并且相信在未來(lái)他們會(huì)做的更好。這就是體育的魅力所在!

Parent-Teacher Interview Day

家長(zhǎng)會(huì)

With half of the first semester completed, CISK parents received the first progress reports for the current school year. As traditionally done in our school, the release of the reports was followed by parent-teacher meetings on November 4, 2022.

隨著第一學(xué)期過(guò)半，CISK的家長(zhǎng)們收到了本學(xué)年的第一份進(jìn)度報(bào)告。像往年一樣，待學(xué)習(xí)報(bào)告發(fā)布后，我們于11月4日舉行了全校家長(zhǎng)會(huì)。

All parents had the chance to meet the teachers that they wanted to talk to.Besides conversations with subject teachers, parents also had the opportunity to speak with the school management team.

所有的家長(zhǎng)都有機(jī)會(huì)在當(dāng)天與各科老師與學(xué)校管理團(tuán)隊(duì)進(jìn)行一對(duì)一的交流。

Secondary School Assembly

On November 6, our Head of Student Services, Mr. Cormack, led the senior school in a series of fun team-building activities. The first was to cross the gym without stepping on the floor using only sheets of paper, which students found all kinds of hilarious and creative ways to do. Secondly, students had to transport their team one by one to the other side of the gym to make a two-person arm-carry, where they hold each other"s wrists and so make a seat for someone to sit on. Finally, the students had to cross the gym together by squatting down and holding the ankles of the person in front so they make a caterpillar! It was great fun to see the students laughing so much, and learning to cooperate in this way.

11月6日，學(xué)生服務(wù)總監(jiān)Cormack先生帶領(lǐng)高年級(jí)學(xué)生進(jìn)行了一系列有趣的團(tuán)隊(duì)建設(shè)活動(dòng)。他們運(yùn)用各種有趣和有創(chuàng)意的方式，在不踩踏地板的情況下穿越體育館。其次，學(xué)生們必須將他們的團(tuán)隊(duì)逐一運(yùn)送到體育館的另一側(cè)，做一個(gè)兩人抬臂的動(dòng)作，即他們互相握住對(duì)方的手腕，這樣就可以做一個(gè)座位給別人坐。最后，學(xué)生們必須蹲下身子，抓住前面人的腳踝，一起穿過(guò)體育館，這樣他們就成了一條毛毛蟲!

Secondary School Parents Workshop

中學(xué)部家長(zhǎng)工作坊

Following the information session on the teaching and learning of languages that was held in late October, Secondary School parents were invited to meet our science teachers on November 8.

繼10月底舉行的“語(yǔ)言教學(xué)”主題家長(zhǎng)工作坊后，11月8日，中學(xué)部家長(zhǎng)受邀與我們的科學(xué)教師們見(jiàn)面。

Mr. Ash Ramtahal, our Head of Sciences and Mathematics, gave an eye-opening presentation on the teaching and learning of sciences in Grades 6-10. He talked about the structure of the curriculum, the aims of the courses, the assessment, and the skills acquired by students throughout their MYP years.

科學(xué)與數(shù)學(xué)教研組長(zhǎng)Ramtahal先生就6-10年級(jí)的科學(xué)教學(xué)做了報(bào)告。他談到了課程的結(jié)構(gòu)、目的、評(píng)估以及學(xué)生在整個(gè)MYP階段所需要獲得的技能。

Ms. Safy Abaza (teacher of DP Biology and Environmental systems & societies) shared the same with an emphasis on Grades 11-12, using the Biology course for illustration purposes.DP生物和環(huán)境系統(tǒng)與社會(huì)的老師Abaza女士也分享了同樣的內(nèi)容，并以生物課程為例，重點(diǎn)介紹了11-12年級(jí)的情況。

The science team, the MYP Coordinator, and the DP Coordinator addressed all questions from the audience. We are now looking forward to the information session on Secondary School Mathematics, scheduled on November 21.

科學(xué)教研組的老師、MYP協(xié)調(diào)員和DP協(xié)調(diào)員回答了觀眾的所有問(wèn)題。我們期待著定于11月21日舉行的中學(xué)部數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)科家長(zhǎng)工作坊。

Fire Drill & Safety Education

防火演習(xí)與安全教育

On November 9, we were honored to receive the Local Fire Department with its high-ranking chief and rigorously trained brigade at CISK. Fully equipped fire trucks with the most modern technology arrived in a field full of excited students who had just evacuated the buildings in an orderly manner to continue their fire training.

11月9日我們很榮幸地迎來(lái)了全校的消防演習(xí)。裝備齊全的消防車帶著最現(xiàn)代化的技術(shù)來(lái)到了學(xué)校，學(xué)生們井然有序地從建筑物中撤離并進(jìn)行消防訓(xùn)練。

Before the fire drill, students discussed various emergency situations that could occur in our area and how to stay safe. They reviewed how to exit the buildings no matter which classroom they’re in, how to line up in the field by class, check in to make sure no one is missing, and to recognize the “all clear” signal that the building has been confirmed to be empty and everyone safe.

在消防演習(xí)之前，學(xué)生們討論了在我們地區(qū)可能發(fā)生的各種緊急情況以及如何保持安全。他們學(xué)習(xí)了如何從各個(gè)教室離開(kāi)教學(xué)大樓，如何按班級(jí)在場(chǎng)內(nèi)排隊(duì)、簽到以確保沒(méi)有人失蹤，并認(rèn)識(shí)了 "一切正常"的信號(hào)，即大樓已被確認(rèn)為空，每個(gè)人都是安全的。

Our fire drill was a great success, with all involved feeling more knowledgeable and safer in our working and learning environment, as we wish for our CISK family to always feel.

我們的消防演習(xí)非常成功，所有參與演習(xí)的人都學(xué)到了更專業(yè)的消防知識(shí)，并在今后的工作和學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境中擁有更多安全感。

Armistice Day

On November 11, on the day of Armistice Day, students and teachers from CISK experienced a two-minute silence to remember all those lost in any war, on any side, in any country.

11月11日，在休戰(zhàn)日當(dāng)天，CISK的學(xué)生和老師靜默兩分鐘，以紀(jì)念在戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)中犧牲的人。
