哈羅珠海高年級學部數學教研組
于11月10日舉行了一場
妙趣橫生的數學競賽
學生們分成5人一組,組內成員都來自5、6、7、8、9不同年級,以應對不同難度的題目。答題采用解題先后排名的方式計分,越快解出正確答案,得分越高。頗具搶答意味的形式,讓參賽選手和觀賽的同學們都進入了緊張刺激的氣氛。

全英數學題目絲毫沒有難到哈羅珠海的學子們,有的學生表現出了過人的心算和估算天賦,有的孩子在團隊鼓舞下勇敢說出自己的答案,挑戰成功。

Adopting an active and challenging approach
To consolidate students" understanding of mathematics
The Maths Team of AISL Harrow Zhuhai Upper School
Held a fun and exciting maths competition
on 10 November
The students were divided into groups of 5, with members coming from different grades 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 to tackle the different difficulty levels of the questions. The competition was scored in order of solution. The quicker a group sort out the correct answer, the higher the score it receives. The competition was quite tense and exciting for both the contestants and the students watching the competition.

The full-English maths questions did not defeat Harrovians at all, with some students showing an exceptional talent for mental arithmetic and estimation, and some children being inspired by the team to speak out their answers and succeed in the challenge.

In a maths competition, students not only need to apply what they have learnt in general and show problem solving skills, but also need to show the spirit of Fellowship, as many difficult problems require teamwork to complete. In addition, a very important attribute is aboutCourage, that is, don’t be afraid to make mistakes; when you hesitate, you may miss the opportunity to grab an answer.
